Definition of Capability

Airline

This capability allows the airline to provide a set of Offers as a replacement of specific OrderItem(s) that include flights and/or services upon the seller request. The request takes into account new Origins, Destinations and/or defined dates. The content of the resulting reshop Offers may depend on additional qualifiers and context that may be provided by the Seller. Then the Airline completes the change to the Order based on an Offer selected by the Seller.

Seller

This capability allows the Seller to request a set of Offers as a replacement of specific OrderItem(s) that include flights or/and services. The request takes into account new Origins, Destinations and/or defined dates. The content of the resulting reshop Offers may depend on additional qualifiers and context that may be provided by the Seller. Then the Seller requests a change to the Order based on an Offer.

NOTE: System Providers will use the above definition that pertains to their customers for Capabilities Verification.

All reshopping scenarios can be considered within ARM index validation for ORDRSH. The use of penalties, forfeited amounts, and residual values are not reviewed or validated within ORDRSH.

Within the reshopping response, the airline is expected to include within all Offers:

  • Price differentials

  • Status of existing Services marked as cancelled (if applicable)

  • Confirmation that certain Services would not undergo any changes (with the “UnchangedIndicator”) (if applicable)

  • Details about the new services and related pricing & conditions (if applicable)

The airline’s confirmation of the Order following the changes is expected to include:

  • The creation of any OrderItem(s) (replacing older OrderItems affected by the reshop) including any potentially unchanged or delivered Service(s) transferred into the newly created OrderItem

  • The cancellation of replaced OrderItems and their respective Service(s).
