Definition of Capability

Airline

Capability allows an Airline to collect payment immediately upon ordering.

Seller

Allows the seller to request the creation and pay for an Order immediately upon ordering.

NOTE: System Providers will use the above definition that pertains to their customers for Capabilities Verification.

Retailing Capabilities Verification Guidance

• Demonstrate use of NDC Order creation based on OfferIDs using the following structure:

  • /IATA_OrderCreateRQ/Request/CreateOrder/AcceptSelectedQuotedOfferList/SelectedPricedOffer

At a minimum, all mandatory OfferItems within the accepted Offer(s) need to be explicitly referenced from the above selection mechanism, including references to the passengers for whom the services have been constructed.

• Provide payment instructions:

  • /IATA_OrderCreateRQ/Request/PaymentFunctions/PaymentProcessingDetails

• Include payment confirmation in OrderViewRS:

  • /IATA_OrderViewRS/PaymentFunctions/PaymentProcessingSummary
