Guidance for Schema Version:

21.3

Definition of Capability

Airline

This capability allows the airline to provide a set of Offers as a replacement of specific OrderItem(s) that include flights and/or services upon the seller request. The request takes into account new Origins, Destinations and/or defined dates. The content of the resulting reshop Offers may depend on additional qualifiers and context that may be provided by the Seller. Then the Airline completes the change to the Order based on an Offer selected by the Seller.

Seller

This capability allows the Seller to request a set of Offers as a replacement of specific OrderItem(s) that include flights or/and services. The request takes into account new Origins, Destinations and/or defined dates. The content of the resulting reshop Offers may depend on additional qualifiers and context that may be provided by the Seller. Then the Seller requests a change to the Order based on an Offer.

NOTE: System Providers will use the above definition that pertains to their customers for Capabilities Verification.

The reshopping flow from v19.2 and later consists of the following steps:

  • Seller requests to add or replace existing OrderItems / Services. Seller also states whether they intend to get a refund for any residual values from a change or cancellation, or if they intend to later “respend” the residual balance: /IATA_OrderReshopRQ/Request/UpdateOrder/ReshopOrder/ReshopOrderChoice/ServiceOrder/DeleteOrderItem/RespendInd

  • Airline constructs reshop Offers and includes

    • price differential, if Seller requested to replace a flight or ancillary.

    • residual values tied to the OrderItem being replaced or cancelled.

  • Seller confirms operation through OrderChangeRQ by referencing OfferID from previous reshop response (with or without payment details).
