Definition of Capability

Airline

This capability allows the Airline to return a set of products and services with associated airline taxonomy codes. The airline may consider the additional offer criteria with requested airline taxonomy codes for its offer construction.

Seller

This capability allows the Seller to identify a set of products and services returned by the airline using the Airline Taxonomy. The Seller may provide airline taxonomy code(s) to the airline during shopping

NOTE: System Providers will use the above definition that pertains to their customers for Capabilities Verification.

Retailing Capabilities Verification Guidance

Airline

• Identify service preferences/filters on shopping requests based on service taxonomy codes and construct offers to match requests:

  • /IATA_AirShoppingRQ/Request/OfferCriteria/ServiceCriteria/TaxonomyCode

• Confirm the type of service in the offer by assigning its respective service taxonomy code:

  • /IATA_AirShoppingRS/Response/DataLists/ServiceDefinitionList/ServiceDefinition/AirlineTaxonomy

Seller

• Request specific types of service preferences/filters on shopping requests based on service taxonomy codes:

  • /IATA_AirShoppingRQ/Request/OfferCriteria/ServiceCriteria/TaxonomyCode

• Render the type of service returned in the offer on your front end:

  • /IATA_AirShoppingRS/Response/DataLists/ServiceDefinitionList/ServiceDefinition/AirlineTaxonomy
